Hot stones therapy can be adapted, but clients with serious circulatory disorders, blood clots, severe varicose veins, or uncontrolled hypertension should avoid it or get medical clearance. Our therapists monitor stone temperature and adjust pressure; disclose health conditions before booking.
Avoid heavy meals and alcohol before your appointment. Arrive hydrated, wear loose clothing, and arrive a few minutes early to complete intake forms. Remove jewelry; communicate any sensitivity. We will discuss pressure preferences and medical history before beginning.
You may feel soothing warmth, deep relaxation, and occasional pressure where stones target tight areas. Mild sweating or temporary light-headedness can occur. Speak up if heat or pressure becomes uncomfortable; therapists will adjust temperature and technique immediately.
Not recommended for pregnancy (first trimester), uncontrolled diabetes, open wounds, severe skin conditions, recent surgery, or active infections. Always disclose medications and health history; we will help determine suitable alternatives, such as a Swedish or lymphatic massage, if needed.
For maintenance and stress relief, receive this treatment every two to four weeks. If addressing intense chronic tension or recovery needs, weekly sessions may help initially. Our therapists will recommend a personalized schedule based on your goals and response.
Drink water, rest, and avoid intense exercise for a few hours after your session. Some soreness or heightened relaxation may last a day. Apply heat or gentle stretching for residual tightness, and contact us with any concerns or unexpected reactions.
