Shower and arrive clean, avoid lotions or oils, and let hair grow about a quarter inch. Don’t shave for three to four weeks. Gentle exfoliation the day before helps. If needed, take an over-the-counter pain reliever thirty to forty-five minutes beforehand.
Some discomfort is normal, but technicians use quick, precise technique and quality wax. Breathing, distraction, and topical numbing creams (available on request) can reduce pain. Most clients find sensitivity diminishes with regular waxing appointments.
For best results hair should be about a quarter inch long so the wax can grip. If hair is longer we'll trim gently; if too short you'll need to wait for regrowth before waxing.
Smoothness typically lasts three to six weeks depending on individual hair cycles. With consistent waxing many clients notice finer, slower regrowth, extending the time between appointments and improving overall results.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, tanning, swimming, and tight clothing for 24 to 48 hours. Use gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer and avoid heavy exercise immediately. After two days gently exfoliate to prevent ingrown hairs and keep the area clean.
Yes, often—but we offer a consultation and patch test for sensitive skin or allergies. Tell us about medications and skin conditions. We can recommend gentler waxes or alternative hair removal methods if waxing isn't suitable.
